childhood memory

Some friend of mine were playing basketball at this abandoned school that had this really cool playground, so I went over to take some photos. The play equipment was made from giant poles, chains, and tires, and there was a club-house type structure. Written all over the wood planks, were obscenities, like Takesha sucks _ _ _ _ (fill in the blank). . . This was an elementary school, mind you. But it had also been a middle school as of last year, and was used as a interim place for students to go while a new school was being built. It's just sad that something like a playground is tainted in such a way.

And yet, I noticed that on the wood, their were child-size handprints in this turqoise-toned paint. I imagine some teacher got the idea to have the kids do that as some sort of fun decoration, and it does leave a distinctive mark in contrast to the graffiti.
